Important: This is only an estimation and depends on the porosity of the surface
If you're dealing with porous or dusty surfaces like stone, concrete, tiles, metal, or wood, using a 2-part epoxy primer is crucial to ensure optimal performance for any non-slip coating. Our epoxy primer enhances surface coverage, improves bonding, and offers a subtle color pop in certain shades, creating the ideal base for our Dura Grip E2 anti-slip epoxy floor paint.
This epoxy paint primer is perfect for both interior and exterior surfaces. It effectively seals the substrate, preparing it for water-based or solvent-based coatings. This strong bond leads to a longer-lasting finish, a smoother texture, and more consistent color, ensuring better adhesion for your coatings.
Without a high-quality primer for epoxy, weak adhesion can result in peeling, uneven surfaces, and early wear. Our 2K epoxy primer creates a moisture-resistant barrier, protecting the coating and ensuring a durable, professional finish on various surfaces like metal, concrete, wood, and tiles.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, and contaminants. Sand or etch smooth surfaces for better adhesion.
- Mixing: Thoroughly mix Part A (resin) with Part B (hardener) using a drill mixer or stir stick. Once mixed, the product remains workable for up to 12 hours.
- Application: Apply one or two coats using a roller, brush, or sprayer. Wait for the first coat to become tacky (30-60 minutes) before applying the second coat if needed.
- Cure Time: Allow the primer to cure before applying top coats.
